Do you believe in past lives?
it is my thought
Some vestige still survives

We were similar, not the same
In other places, another time
We played a different game
We played at war, hot, and sublime

We were generals in the war
Our cannons shook to heaven's core
I moved my troops against you
Our banners flew, score on score
Renouncing the ravager of saints
You

I was there on that dark coast
On the night of which you'll boast
My soldiers swarmed the beaches
We cut deep into the reaches
Of your stony keep

You took me by surprise
As in your bunker we locked eyes
My sabre touched your throat
But out from your coat
You drew your emerald gun

You didn't even blink
As you slid into the night
And I couldn't give pursuit
Frozen by my fright
You took my medals, off my chest
And scattered in the night

It took a year to hunt you down
But it was worth the chase
I had you now, you smiling clown
MY gun to your face
My sword protruding from the folds
Of your crimson jacket
You stained the cement floor
As you coughed and hackéd

"You can do no further harm
For I am slain, and by your arm
where now will you go?"

I left my golden sword inside you
And let the glowing fire hide you
I didn't flee your dying form
I held my pistol yet to warm
For me the war was over
I put the pistol to my head
And was laid low among the clover

From this life of ages past
We come to meet again at last
We're no longer at our war
But are we still worth killing for?
N/A, again
